How to Configure Maxthon Proxy Settings

Maxthon is a cloud browser with many extensions. Due to the support of cloud technologies, it allows you to continue the work you started in any place and on any device. In the cloud saved texts, links, images, files, bookmarks and much more. There are an ad blocker and the ability to create isolated tabs for simultaneous work with multiple accounts. Proxy settings in Maxthon do not cause any special difficulties - several types of servers are supported, including user authorization.

Adding a proxy in Maxthon requires a few steps:

1. Install a browser and create an account for full work and access to cloud services;
2. Open the settings and enable the display of advanced settings, find the section "Proxy Settings";
3. Select one of the browser options - without proxies, using Internet Explorer proxies, custom proxy setting. You can read detailed instructions for configuring up a proxy in Explorer.

We are interested in the last option - click on the "Manage proxies" link and follow the instructions:

1. Click the "Add" button to add a new proxy server in Maxthon;
2. Indicate the name of the proxy in the form - this is a required field;
3. Select the proxy type in the drop-down list - HTTP, HTTPS, SOCKS4, SOCKS4A, SOCKS5 or PAC;
4. Specify the IP address of the proxy server and port, as well as the username and password (if using a proxy with authorization).

Click "OK" to save the data.

Multiple proxies in Maxthon are the ability to enumerate them to quickly change the IP address. Add as many proxies to the settings as you need to solve work tasks - their number is not limited. If you need to switch to another server, click on it in the list and tap the "Enable" button.

Check the IP address using any available service - it must match the selected proxy in Maxthon settings.

If necessary, the user can open an isolated tab and select any of the downloaded IP addresses in it. For quick access to sites and services, we recommend using individual proxies.
