How to set up a proxy in Psiphon on PC

To set up a proxy in Psiphon on your computer, follow these simple steps:

  1. Download and open Psiphon. If it's not connected, click the “Connect” button.


  2. In the left frame of the application, go to “Settings” and open the “Upstream Proxy” tab.


  3. In the new window:
    • Enter the IP address in the “Proxy hostname” field.
    • Specify the proxy port.
    • For private proxies, fill in your username and password.
    • Leave the domain field as is if no changes are needed.


  4. After ensuring all details are correct, click “Apply changes”.


Your Psiphon proxy connection is now ready for use.

Setting up a proxy in Psiphon on iOS

To adjust the proxy settings in the Psiphon app on your iPad or iPhone for bypassing internet restrictions:

  1. Open the app by selecting its icon from the main menu.

  1. Open the app to see the main home page. Swipe left or tap the “Options” tab.

  3. Enable “Connect through an HTTP Proxy” if it's not already active. Click on “Use the following settings” to manually enter proxy server details. This will reveal fields for the IP address and connection port.


  4. Under “Host Address”, input the proxy server's IP address and click “OK” to go back to the proxy settings.


  5. Select “Port”, enter the port number provided by your proxy server, and click “OK”.


  6. At the bottom of the page, enable “Use proxy authentication”, necessary for private proxies that require a username and password.


  7. Enter your username and confirm by clicking “OK”.

  8. Next, enter the password and also confirm by clicking “OK”. After returning to the main settings menu, your configurations will be saved automatically.


  9. Go back to the home page and click “Start” to initiate the configured connection. You can now browse or use online applications through a secure internet connection.
