Proxy settings through Proxifier

The proxy server allows you to protect the client's computer from some network attacks and helps to preserve the client's anonymity. Programs that work with the network are divided into those that support working with proxies and those that do not have this functionality. Proxy programs (such as Proxifier) are designed to allow the use of programs (which do not support working with the proxy) along with the proxy.

Types of proxy programs for managing traffic in relation to applications:

All traffic goes to the Internet without changes, except traffic for the required application.

All traffic from the client's computer passes through the proxy program.

Settings of proxy program Proxifier

First you need to enter the proxy settings. Go to the menu Profile - Proxy Servers

Create an entry for our proxy server. Press the button "ADD ..." and fill the settings on the tab (IP, login, password and port).

In our case, the proxy address of the server is -  ", the port for connecting to the proxy is" 65233 ", the type is " HTTPS ". Also do not forget about the identification (the name of our user "user1", you must substitute your own). Go to "Advanced ..." to sign the name of our proxy server.

Click "OK" to save. Now we have returned to the previous window, it is necessary to make sure that we have done everything right. Press the "Check" button.

A window of the built-in tester pops up, which checks the availability and operation of the added proxy server. If all checks were successful - the result will be as in the example.

Next the proxy program will ask whether you want to skip all connections through the added proxy server. Click "NO".

The proxy list now displays the configured proxy, save it and then click "OK". Next, the proxy program suggests configuring the proxy rules. You have to agree by clicking the "YES" button:

The window of rules of the proxy program opens, which shows the rules by which the proxy program will intercept application traffic and, depending on the rules, send it through the proxy: block or allow it to pass directly. We add our rule for our application:

Write the name for the rule and select the executable file (files with the extension exe, bin or cmd), which creates traffic for proxying.

Here we select the action for the traffic of this application, we will pass traffic through the proxy "Proxy_1". There is also the option "Direct" - "direct connection" (without proxy) and the option - "Block" (block application traffic).

Save the rule settings by clicking "OK". The created rule is displayed in the list and already works. Click "OK" to close the window and save.

The main window of the proxy program displays the Chrome application, whose connections are already skipped through the configured proxy server.
