How to set up a proxy in Memu Play

Memu is an Android emulator designed for Windows and MacOS, allowing you to run Android applications and games on your computer. Key features of the Memu:

Setting up a proxy server in the Memu emulator using Proxifier

The emulator itself doesn't offer a built-in way to set up a proxy server. In this example, we'll use the Proxifier program to configure a proxy for Memu.

  1. Open Memu and click on the settings icon in the main lobby to access the “System Settings” section. From there, select “Network”.

  2. To use a proxy, you can either specify a MAC address and network name or generate them automatically. It is important to keep the network mode unchanged. Once generated, click “Okay”. Before setting up a proxy server in Memu, you will need to use Proxifier.

  3. Download Proxifier from the official website. To configure Memu via Proxifier, you first need to add the emulator to the list of applications for proxy interaction. Open the “Profile” menu and click on “Proxy Servers”.

  4. Click “Add” in the window that appears to configure a new proxy.

  5. In the proxy server settings, enter the IP-address and port of the proxy server you want to connect to and select the proxy type (SOCKS4 and SOCKS5 are suitable for games). Then click “OK”.

  6. Set up proxy rules for the Android emulator by going to the “Profile” tab and opening the “Proxification Rules” section.

  7. Click the “Add” button to include Memu in the list of permitted applications.

  8. In the “Applications” section, click “Browse” and locate the emulator's executable file (*exe) in its main folder.

  9. Click “OK” to save the settings. Then, go to the “Action” section, click on “Advanced”, and select the previously created proxy server from the list of available connections.
